2016-17

S.T.A.R. Scholarship winners are (l to r): Tyler Reibel and Kaelen Lester-Trapp.

Another award sponsored by Circleville City School Foundation is the S.T.A.R. award. STAR is the acronym for Senior Tiger Achievement Recognition. This is the second year for this award. The recipients of these two $1500 scholarships have exhibited continued success in academics, leadership, and peer respect through their senior year at Circleville High School. Two students were selected at the end of their junior year by CHS administrators and teachers and mentored throughout the 2016-17 school year by CCSF Board members.

Kaelen Lester-Trapp, who was mentored by Michele Walters, will be attending Akron University in the fall and plans to major in Early Childhood Education.

Tyler Reibel, who was mentored by Ashley Hoskins, has already begun a firefighter program. When Tyler completes this program he will be qualified for a career as a firefighter.
